Jo Malone English Oak Lunch
I was invited to the most enchanting and intimate luncheon a few weeks ago for the launch of Jo Malone’s newest collection—The English Oak. From the moment I walked in, I could already get a feel for the warm, homey mood of the newest scents. The venue was completely transformed into a enchanted forest in the midst of the fall season. There were even real leaves covering the floor!
While we were served lunch, we were introduced to the newest scents for fall.
The English Oak & Hazelnut is a little more masculine/ unisex of the two, being very woody and warm. The top note is green hazelnut, the heart is cedarwood, and the base note is roasted oak absolute. This scent is quite earthy and enticing.
The English Oak & Redcurrant, on the other hand, is more feminine and citrusy. The top note is redcurrant, the heart is rose, and the base is also roasted oak absolute. It’s a very bright and romantic scent, while still being warm because of the oak.
My favourite of the two is definitely the English Oak & Redcurrant! Excited to be wearing this come the start of the ber months!
Fun fact: they actually sourced pili nuts from the Philippines to put in this collection!
